I am looking either for a person that does not have a pet that likes pets, or someone that has a housetrained pet. If you have a pet that does not stay caged (like a bird, etc), I give preference to housetrained female dogs that go outside through the pet door to the fenced backyard, but do not climb fences. Littertrained cats are my second preference if they keep their nails trimmed short to keep from snagging the carpet and do not go outside to climb fences (stay in their room). Children are welcome, and in the past a single mom has spit a room with her child with a bunk bed.
The pets can stay blocked off with a petgate downstairs, when desired, with them still having access to the yard.
