First a little about the accommodations . . . . I have a nicely maintained 4 BR, 3 bath home in Overland Park, KS to share and a COMPLETELY FURNISHED ROOM available - a turnkey situation. Virtually everything is included - pots, pans, bed & bath linens, washer, dryer, gas grill, secure high-speed wireless network/internet, etc. It also includes ALL UTILITIES and EXERCISE EQUIPMENT (including a BowFlex machine and a Nordic Trak) . . . . plus TASHA - our bi-weekly professional HOUSE KEEPER!!! The Gray Room has a bed, dresser, rocker/glider chair, night stand, remote color TV, remote controled fan and lights.. The house is well maintained and also offers two decks and a covered patio for outside enjoyment, a lounging hammock, multiple gardens and professional quality landscaping. Again, this is a turn-key situation . . . . most everything is provided - all you need to do is bring your clothes and shaving kit. Great for someone here for a limited time on contract employment, going through a changing marital situation, new to KC and needing to get to know the area before buying or anyone needing turn-key accommodations. >>>>>>>
All of this for as low as $449/mo with a 6-month commitment (there is a renewal clause if a longer period is needed - shorter periods are also available at a little higher rate). A REFUNDABLE Security Deposit is required. The Gray Room is available March 1, 2012. My preference would be for a 6-month commitment but certainly will consider shorter stays. >>>>>>
OK, now a little about me - I'm a straight, hard-working, active 59-year old WSM . . . a small business owner who attends church semi-regularly, is involved in volunteer work at a metro homeless shelter and still needs to loose a few pounds. I enjoy recreational cycling, live Music, quality dining, a nice glass of wine and gardening for fun. I always have a DIY project or two going on. I'm very neat & clean and always try to be considerate of others needs and interests. >>>>>
I live a pretty comfortable life and offer a good, peaceful and safe living environment. I'm looking for a male Housemate who will positively add to the picture. So if you are Forthright, Trustworthy and Responsible . . . . Respectful of others and their property . . . . Financially Conscientious and Reliable . . . . and looking for a good place to stay then we should talk. Maybe your past hasn't been spotless or perfect but I am more interested in who you are today and where you want to go tomorrow. Someone semi-active/fun would be great but certainly not required . . . sociable is good but a 'dedicated partier' is not a match here. Neat and Clean within the common areas however is absolutely essential. A non or light outside smoker, with a comfortable sense of humor and who is reasonably easy going without a lot of drama would work best. Sorry - no drugs, no alcoholics, no pets, no children and no over-night guests. >>>>>>>

If out of town, don't be discouraged - we can work out the best way to handle things - over the years I have had several guests from out-of-town stay here - it has always worked out.
