Preferred room and roommate description

Hi I'm looking for a cool roomate/roomates . A short description about me: *Respectful *Easy going * I like beer *Engineer I'd prefer to rent a room in a house rather than an apartment. But I'm open... My preferable areas of interest are:

1-Downtown and surroundings 2-Anything near the I-10 going from Downtown towards El Monte 3-Echo park, Silverlake

I'm new in LA so you could suggest something to me. I work in El Monte very very close to the I-10 and don't want to spend 1 hour driving back and forth from work.
