Preferred room and roommate description
I’m looking for a roommate in my cool new apartment. I looked for a long time to find a good place in this price range, and I finally found it. Now I need to find a good roommate to share it with me.
It’s a 2 bedroom, on the third floor. Your room is big enough for a queen size bed, with dresser. There are nice, new hardwood floors throughout. The living room is a good size- couch, chairs, TV all fit well. The kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. There is a nice back porch big enough for a little table and chairs. The place has baseboard heating, so we'll be able to control it in the winter. All the windows are new, but I'll be putting plastic on anyway. the place has great light, it's really sunny, especially the bedrooms (eastern exposure). Every room has a ceiling fan, and we have 3 room air conditioners (one for each bedroom and one for the living room, but I haven't had to use that one). The place has excellent air flow- it's never stuffy. We have in unit washer-dryer! It's extremely convenient.
I have most of the living room furniture taken care of, kitchen appliances, etc. But there's room for some chairs, benches, cabinets, etc.
About me: I’m a 26 year old guy, I work downtown for an investment research company; I ride/race bikes, but all my bikes and assorted crap will stay in my room. I’m keeping this new place organized. I’m laid back, non-smoker (inside at least), pretty clean but not freaky clean. I spend a lot of time training for and racing bikes, but I'm home a fair bit too. I have two cool cats, Enzo and Beppe, who are very well behaved.
You: Easy going, kind of cool, pretty clean, sociable to a point (no creepy loners please), and have income to support the rent. We'll sign a basic lease before you move in to make sure everyone is covered. Male or female. It would be great if you were somewhat familiar with the Logan Square and Chicago in general; you should know what neighborhood you would be moving into.
The neighborhood is good. Right near two grocery stores, Weegee's, some restaurants, bike shops. One block from a Mexican supermarket/awesome taqueria. Parking is good. It's Logan Square, and all that comes with. Central Park/Armitage used to be pretty rough, but things have much improved. Bikes are definitely the best way to get around this neighborhood.
I'm looking for someone to move in 10/1 or earlier. work.Your room is empty and ready to be moved in to ASAP.
