About me and my place

Where: I live in a recently renovated (finished in late August)apartment on Kalorama between Connecticut and 20th. The neighborhood is wonderful and quiet but close to everything. A short walk to Adams Morgan, Dupont and Woodley Park and if you have a bicycle or bus pass, a short trip to U St, Columbia Heights, and Mt Pleasant. What: It's a great smaller building, about 30 unit condo. The whole building has been renovated as well as my apartment. Everything in the condo is brand new. Massive TV, new kitchen and bathroom, new flooring and lighting. I have a maid coming in twice a month which is a huge relief and frees me up from doing boring chores. I have a dishwasher and there is a laundry room one floor below. The bedroom I have to rent is furnished. It gets great light, ample closet space and is slightly larger than mine. There is more than enough cutlery, cooking equipment and crockery for more than two people. How much: It will be $1350 excl. electric. Who: I have lived in DC for about three and a half years. I am 25yr old female from South Africa and work for IFC. I am really easy going. I am a non-smoker and I have no pets. I spend a lot of time cooking, hanging out with my friends and exploring DC. I just bought my apartment and my old roommate moved away so I am looking for someone new. I get up 8am - 10am.I go to bed 10pm - 12am.I eat almost anything.My level of cleanliness is best described as average.I rarely have overnight guests.I party weekends. I live in a 1 person female only household. Age 25 - 35. My work schedule is best described as "professional (9-5)". My professional occupation is finance/ banking. I do not have any pets. The apartment building (10+ units) is located at Kalorama, Washington DC. The residence features air conditioning, wood floors, elevator, laundry, dishwasher. Your room is furnished. It features cable tv jack, phone jack, furnished, private closet. Fees: to move in - 1300, parking - $0.00. Total cost of utilities - $150.00.

About you: I haven't been in a rush because I want to find the right person. I have only ever had male roommates. Luckily they have all been relatively clean, a lot of fun and we have gotten along great. I prefer someone in their late 20s to early thirties. I am open to a month to month arragement, short term and at most a month lease. No smokers and no pets. I would prefer a male roommate but am open to a female.
