Preferred room and roommate description
Hello,
I am looking for a female roommate to share my cute and cozy apartment. Even though it's technically a daylight basement, the front rooms are at ground level, so it feels more like a regular apartment. It's located just a few blocks from Greenlake and Woodland park, with easy bus access downtown, to the U-District, Ballard, and Queen Anne. There is a *huge* backyard, perfect for gardening, sunbathing, etc., and a covered porch area for rainy-day bbq-ing and bike storage. The room itself is about 10x10 with a large window at ground level that faces west, so it gets pretty good afternoon sun. The apartment also has a dishwasher and there's a free w/d room shared with the people who live upstairs.
Rent is $550/month, and there is a $500 deposit. There is also a $50 credit check fee that will be refunded upon signing a lease (3 months or longer). All utilities are included, and internet is about $10 a month extra.
About me: I'm a 30 y/o woman, very easy-going, respectful and fairly quiet around the house. I currently work at a bookstore as well as teach piano and do freelance tutoring/editing in students' homes. I enjoy cooking, vegetable gardening, an eclectic mix of books & music, the outdoors, playing the piano/guitar, and getting together with friends. I'm about average on the "messy-clean" scale: I tend more towards being tidy than pristine, but do my part to keep things livable. I also like time to myself, and will respect your right to be introverted as well :)
