One super-sized room rents for $850 per month and the two other cozier rooms rent for $700 per month. The rent includes all utilities except phone. There is a high-speed internet connection in every bedroom as well as the ability to use your laptop wirelessly throughout the house, and the roommates will have use of two televisions with cable (including the full package of movies channels). King size washer and dryer are available for use in the basement at no additional charge, and a dishwasher is provided in the kitchen. Each bedroom has been professionally decorated (I am an architect/designer) and contains like new furniture including a bed (with bedding), desk, shelving, lamp, and desk chair. The house is located in a great, friendly neighborhood surrounded by public transportation (B, D, 4, 2, 5, Bx40, Bx42) and only one block from a police station. The house is located in the Grand Concourse/Fordham University area. It is only one stop from the Fordham University Uptown Campus, and only three stops from Lehman College, and also within easy reach of the Bronx Zoo and New York Botanical Garden. The commute to midtown is only 30 minutes by train, and being so near to the Grand Concourse allows you to get in and out of town with out any hassles as well as take advantage of all the grocery stores and other amenities along the Grand Concourse. Street parking and a paid parking lot is available. For Yankee lovers, it is only a few stops from Yankee Stadium. I am looking for friendly, easy going, but responsible and clean roommates. This is a great opportunity for professionals, graduate students, and those enrolled in the NY Teaching Fellows and Teach for America programs, but all applications will be fairly considered.
