Ant Hill Cooperative is a housing co-op in Rochester, New York. We currently operate 2 houses, located at 960 & 964 S. Plymouth Avenue. As of March 1st, we have one room available and expect another vacancy towards the beginning of May. Residential members pay one rent check a month that covers housing, utilities, and food. The fee for a single is $460 per month.
We have a number of organized meals, a 24-hour pantry, in-house laundry facilities and off street parking, along with an RTS bus stop in front of the house that is part of the 24-hour "19 Plymouth to UR/Strong/Elmwood" bus route and near one of the "24 RIT" bus stops that goes from downtown to RIT/Gleason Circle. We invite students, professionals, creative persons, and anyone interested in good food and awesome people to share and help build our community.
We currently have 8 resident members who live in Ant Hill managed properties, and 7 general members, many of whom live only a block or two away. We are a supportive, affordable, and ecologically responsible place to live. We offer a place for the free exchange of ideas, building community, incubation of creative projects, and development of a high quality of life by sharing chores and resources. We also offer each individual their own place and space. Ant Hill is an exciting, cohesive community, and an inexpensive, fun place to live.
