I have a room available for rent in my home in Fort Washington, MD. I'm in the suburbs just outside of DC and Alexandria, VA. Surrounding areas around are National Harbor/Oxon Hill/Temple Hills/Suitland/Camp Springs/Clinton. I'm 6 miles to Andrews AFB front door, and about 8 miles to Bolling AFB. You will need a car to live here, however there is a Metro bus stop at the entrance to my development that goes into DC. I'm within 12 minutes to 4 different Metro stations (Eisenhower Ave., King Street, Southern Ave & Suitland Rd.). I'm within a few miles of all major highways 495/95/295. Shopping is also about 2 miles from home, that's where the car will come in handy. The neighborhood is very nice; it's quiet, friendly, on street parking available for your convenience and there's a park across the street, which is nice, with pond, walking trails, basketball & tennis courts.
I am fine with someone who is looking to stay a few nights a week, if you're commuting, short-term or if we fit well together long term. Of course, rent is flexible if you're only staying a few nights a week while you're here working. I ask that you are working, a non-smoker, no drugs, and please no drama. I'm easy to get along with as long as your respect yourself and others.
The room is furnished; the bathroom is in the hallway which is shared when there is another roommate. You'll have use of the kitchen and laundry. Utilities are include in rent as long as they are not abused. I have wireless internet and Direct TV. You'll need your own TV.
I do have cats, but they mostly stay to themselves when people are here. So, I would ask that you are OK with pets, and I'm sorry I cannot have any other pets here.
