Hi all
I'm Sam from Germany. In this years' Greencard-Lottery I was successful which is a great thing but with this there is a lot of planning and organizing involved. To move asap to the States I'm looking for a room to take the next steps (e.g. find a job, open a bank account, etc.) and organize my future live in the Chicago Area.
I am a non-smoking and pet-friendly person. Here in Germany I live in an appartment-sharing community as well. We are three people who rented a whole eco-friendly house together.
In Germany I work as a Projekt Manager Sales & Development for an international affiliated group and also have my own little company on the side (in the education sector) and teaching assignments at a couple of universities. At the same time I am a part-time student at the distance university of Hagen, Germany.
I play badminton as well as soccer (on an amateur level) and ride the bike every once in a while. Would you call me a sporty type of person? Well, the answer to that is NO but I go to the stadium quit often to see others play soccer :-) and I have the target to participate at the Chicago marathon in 2012. That's something I wanted to do for a long time.
Let me mention that I am a great cook - well at least that's what friends and family keep telling me :-) I have a big passion for creating sweet desserts and I always have to provide them at family gatherings and parties.
I love movies and the major US sitcoms and series like Greys Anatomy, House M.D., Mad about you (from the 90's), Seinfeld, etc. I like going out and meet up with friends, travel a lot to see the world when I have the time.
Any questions on me? Just ask!
