We have a three-bedroom apartment in Watertown with one room soon to be available on March 1st.. The apartment is located on School St. and is the top floor of a two family house. There is a bus stop for the 71 bus at the corner of School and Mt. Auburn St. and another bus line on Arsenal St.. Depending on what time of day you're going in, the buses can be less than 10 minutes apart or as much as 30 minutes between runs. My roommate has walked home from Harvard Sq. before and it takes about 45 minutes to an hour. There are several supermarkets within a 3 mile radius on the bus lines, a post office less than a mile away on Mt. Auburn, a UPS store a mile away in Belmont and gym within a five minute walk from the apartment on Arsenal St. There is off street parking, a laundry room, a nice back porch with a grill and storage in the basement. The house is fully furnished, so you would just have to have furniture for your room. There are hardwood floors throughout, modern eat-in kitchen, modern bath fireplace etc. The available room is a bit bigger than most, approximately 11 by 13 with two windows closet and a four season sun porch off the bedroom; the room will be freshly painted upon move in. The room is wired for cable TV and internet. The two remaining roommates are Scott and myself. I have three dogs, a Boston Terrier and two Boxers - they're friendly and very curious. I work in the human service field in Waltham and Scott works in Dorchester as a mechanic. We're both very easy to get along with and keep our own schedules. During weekdays I usually leave the apartment in the morning around 7:30; Scott's schedule varies. The current rent is $1600.00 a month or $533.00 each. All of the utility bills are in my name and I keep meticulous records, so a history of expenses would be easy to ascertain. The monthly rent and utility bills average around $715.00 per roommate. The move in cost will be first and last rent, no security deposit required, so the total would be $1,266.00.
