Preferred room and roommate description
Hi, we are looking for a professional/student male or female housemate to share the rent and responsibility of a nice, fairly large 4 bedroom house in a nice neighborhood about 3 blocks from UAB.
Current occupants: 1 female age 21 - UAB grad student and part-time pharmacy tech.; 1 male age 23 – medical professional; 2 sweet cats.
We are clean, but nowhere near spotless. We have a few friends over on occasion, but no large or wild parties.
Date available: January 1, 2010
Occupational/Security Deposit $287.50 payable to landlord
Lease must be signed. Lease ends 03/31/2010, but can be extended month to month after that or renewed for 12 months.
Housemate contract must also be signed prior to move-in.
Rent is $1170/month or $292.50/each (with 4 tenants) due 2 days before the 1st of each month.
Electricity, gas, water, cable & internet ~ $110 - $160/month each; total is split equally by all (4) housemates; billed monthly and due when requested.
No smoking, drugs, or wild or large parties allowed.
1 bedroom is large and the 2nd bedroom is a good size, and both are unfurnished, but the remainder of the house is somewhat furnished. You may bring your own furniture and we will see if it will fit somewhere. Loft bed available for use if needed.
1 Pet (cat or small dog) may be allowed for an additional fee, but must be OK'd by landlord.
House amenities: security system, 4 good size bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, formal living room & dining room, basement, fenced in yard, hardwood floors, 2 car gated carport, 9’ ceilings and 3 skylights, built in bookcases and 4 fireplaces, spacious screened-in front porch, eat in kitchen w booth, washer and dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, ceiling fans, walk-in closets, high-speed internet & cable in all rooms, refrigerator, gas stove.
If you have BAD CREDIT don’t bother responding as the landlord does a background and credit check on everyone. Also, cash or local check are the only accepted methods of payment.
