Preferred room and roommate description
One bedroom available in a 2 bedroom, one bathroom condo.
The bedroom itself:
- about 12ft x 12ft
- large closet
- gets lots of natural light (and has blackout curtains installed for those of us who like to sleep in)
- nice, new carpeting
- cable TV hookup
- lots of power outlets
The rest of the unit is very nicely furnished, you would only need to bring things for your room. The unit is on the second floor of a very quiet building - there are only 3 units total. We have our own washer and dryer in the unit. The entire condo is about 1000 sq. ft., and there are three hallway closets to store things in - an abundance of storage space. Kitchen has a nice dishwasher and appliances.
Included is one parking space, off the street and behind the building, no extra cost. There is a storage shed by the parking area which you will have access to (good for storing bikes, etc.). The unit is about two blocks away from Andronico's and Cheeseboard and lots of other shops, another block or two away from Safeway. Ohlone Park is also just a few blocks away. Very quiet, friendly neighborhood.
RENT: $1250 a month + 1/2 of the utilities - water, garbage, gas/electric. Also 1/2 of the cable/internet bill, if you want to use them. If you really don't watch TV or use the internet (or just use the internet) we can work something out. There is a cable line for a TV set up in the bedroom, but I also have a big screen TV with a DVD player in the living room which I am happy to share.
You would be sharing the apartment with one human and one cat. I am a 23-year old male and a second year law student at the UC Berkeley Law School (Boalt). I also work two jobs and help run some of the university clubs when I am not studying. I have been told that I am a fun, respectful, and clean person to live with. My cat, Saki, is an 8 month old female cat, she is very sweet and lots of fun.
Ideally I am looking for someone close to my age, but anyone is welcome. Undergraduates, graduates, professionals are all great, as long as you are good company! I don't know many people in the area, so someone who would be interested in exploring and hanging out would be fantastic. But the most important thing is ability to pay the rent - my landlady will be screening anyone I select and running a credit check before you sign the lease. The lease runs until June 30, 2010.
