I am offering a tiny, sunny, 6x10 ( measure this if your not sure ) bedroom for rent. The ceilings are 10 feet and their is a large window facing the street. This apartment is on the 3rd floor. Their is a "largish" closet in addition, which resides in the hallway. There is a private entrance to this room. The apartment itself is large, funky, and inviting. This is a boarding situation, not a share. You would have access to the kitchen, bathroom, your room of course, and the rest of the apartment when I am not around. I'm not anal about this; these are just the general parameters. This situation is best for someone ( FEMALE ONLY ) who: is new to NYC, doesn't have much stuff, needs/wants to get their feet wet/settle in to the city, and use this living
situation as a base to find something more permanent. The agreement would be from anywhere between 2 months and as long as one wishes, on a month by month basis. To move in would
require first and last month's rent, totaling $1300. This price includes all utilities. The room is
unfurnished except for a twin bed-fold-up futon, that is brand new. No AC in the room, but
anything including a cheap AC can be had right up the street. This location is mint, and is in one
of the most beautiful and alive neighborhoods in all of Brooklyn. Subway is 2 blocks to the R, 7
short blocks to the F; 20 minutes to Union Square during active hours. The park is 15 minute
walk, and any restaurant, bar--anything you could want is all right here. No cats, no cigarette
smoking, no guests without my approval. I'm out often, and when I am, the place is totally
yours, and it is a very cool set-up. There is Wifi, and a TV if you wish, I could get a cable hook
if that is important to you--no sweat. Must have references.
You: should be female, intelligent, classy, clean, laid back, gracious, garrulous motor-mouths, please don't apply: best if you have a droll sense of humor--I'm kind of out there--reasonable, preferably attractive, not to big, as it's a small room. If you have a dog, that's great, especially a cool and clean one...I've rented this room out before, and it always works out best with someone who is young, flexible, few expectations and requirements, new to the city, and transitory...if this is you, it's a perfect situation.
Me: I've lived here 7 years. I had lived here with my ex-girlfriend for 3 years up until a few months ago.
I own an independent dog walking and sitting service. I am a singer and songwriter, have been an actor, am somewhat of a budding serial entrepreneur. I am originally from Westport, CT, and have lived in NYC for 10 years. I have worked in restaurants and bars for a decade, burnt out , I decided to build this pet care business for a base that will give me the freedom, money and health/sanity to pursue more ambitious artistic and creative enterprises.
You must dig dogs, as I have a small one ( see below ) and sometimes others stay over.
I want to rent this out by JULY AT THE LATEST...
P.S Don't really have any pictures of the place right now , without people in them. If I need to place this ad again, I'll try and upload a few. There is one below, that has Dirk, and part of the living room.
